Standard Equipment · A Standard Company

Everything between the grid and the rack.

Transformers, switchgear, and substations built on our own high-silicon steel, with the SPC Local Controller and EMS wired in at the factory. The equipment that decides when a data center comes online.

Rendering of two power transformers and a switchgear lineup in a gravel substation yard beside a large data center building.

The one-line

From 138 kV to the rack, one supplier.

Every box on a data center's single-line diagram between the utility and the load, plus the controls that run them. We build all of it, so nothing waits on a second vendor.

The lineup

Six products that bring a campus online.

  • Studio rendering of an oil-filled substation power transformer with radiator banks and high-voltage bushings.

    Grid to campus

    Power transformers

Main power transformers that step transmission voltage down to the campus distribution bus. Cores are stacked from our own strip-cast, high-silicon electrical steel.

    Primary
    69 – 230 kV
    Secondary
    13.8 – 34.5 kV
    Rating
    20 – 100 MVA
  • Studio rendering of a lineup of grey metal-clad switchgear cabinets with one door open showing copper bus bars.

    Protect & distribute

    Medium-voltage switchgear

Metal-clad, arc-resistant lineups with vacuum breakers and copper bus. The campus ring bus that isolates faults without taking down a hall.

    Class
    15 – 38 kV
    Bus
    Up to 3,000 A
    Construction
    Arc-resistant
  • Studio rendering of a unit substation with a transformer section coupled to low-voltage distribution cabinets.

    MV to the hall

    Unit substations

Close-coupled transformer and distribution sections that bring medium voltage down to the voltage your UPS and racks run on.

    Primary
    13.8 – 34.5 kV
    Secondary
    480 / 415 V
    Rating
    2.5 – 5 MVA
  • Studio rendering of a low-voltage switchboard lineup with breaker panels and metering.

    Feed the white space

    Low-voltage switchboards

Switchboards that feed UPS modules, busway, and cooling. Metered per circuit so every kilowatt is visible to Standard Power.

    Voltage
    480 / 415 V
    Mains
    Up to 6,000 A
    Metering

  • Rendering of a prefabricated steel electrical house on a skid, ready to be trucked to site.

    Ship it energized-ready

    E-houses & power skids

Switchgear, switchboards, and controls integrated in a steel enclosure and factory-tested before it ships. Set it, terminate it, energize it.

  • Studio rendering of an open controls cabinet with a white fanless edge controller, protection relays, a network switch, and terminal blocks on DIN rail.

    Run it from day one

    SPC Local Controller & EMS

The same Local Controller that runs every Standard Power battery, mounted in a controls cabinet and wired to every relay, breaker, and meter we ship. The on-site EMS reads the whole one-line in real time, keeps control decisions local if the uplink drops, and hands the site to Standard Power ready to dispatch.

The metals inside

The core starts as our own steel.

A transformer's efficiency is set by its core. Standard Materials strip-casts electrical steel on twin-roll lines: molten steel solidifies between two water-cooled rolls into sheet close to its final thickness, skipping most of the conventional rolling train. That lets us run silicon levels conventional mills can't roll, and the higher silicon means lower core losses.

How Standard Materials makes it
Rendering of workers stacking thin electrical steel laminations into a transformer core on a factory floor.
Metals used in Standard Equipment products
Strip-cast high-silicon electrical steelStandard MaterialsTransformer and reactor coresCast on twin-roll lines close to final gauge, so it can carry more silicon than conventionally rolled steel tolerates. More silicon raises electrical resistivity, which cuts eddy-current and core losses in every transformer we build.
CopperQualified domestic millsWindings, bus bars, and ground busHigh-conductivity copper for transformer windings and switchgear bus, where current density and short-circuit strength matter most.
AluminumQualified domestic millsLV windings and buswayUsed where weight and cost matter more than footprint, such as low-voltage windings and long busway runs.
